The tour’s highlight is a visit to the Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village, a 7.2 hectare botanical garden overlooking Macajalar Bay where one may witness some Higaonon tribe members perform their native dances or make their crafts. Cap your tour with a visit to a local market, Cogon, or a pasalubong center and bring home for yourself and friends some colorful malong, wood crafts or old time favorites like Camiguin’s pastel, Iligan’s greaseless peanuts, Bukidnon’s Monk’s Blend coffee, Cagayan de Oro’s pine ham, chicharon, banana chips, cashew nuts, dried fish and more. Drop off and check-in at Cagayan de Oro hotel.
