Day 1: Arrive Laguindingan airport in the morning. Meet and greet and transfer to hotel.

Stained Glass at San Agustine Cathedral

Also called the city of Golden Friendship due to its friendly people, the city — the center of education and trading in Northern Mindanao– is a fast booming economy which has been a popular destination for conventions and adventure activities. 

In this tour, discover the colorful cultural and historical heritage of the peoples of Northern Mindanao. Visit to the GARDENS OF MALASAG ECO-TOURISM VILLAGE, a 7.2 hectare botanical garden, overlooking Macajalar Bay. If visiting in the afternoon, one may meet some tribal folks in their colorful dresses and see them perform their tribal folk dance. Also visit a museum: a FOLKLORE MUSEUM or the MUSEUM OF THREE CULTURES(subject to museum schedule), the SAN AGUSTIN CATHEDRAL  which houses beautifully crafted stained glass windows that date back to 1800s, the McARTHUR MEMORIAL landmark, the old commercial center PLAZA DIVISORIA, UPTOWN CAGAYAN and the LIMKETKAI commercial complex. Cap the tour with some shopping at the local markets like COGON or specialty pasalubong shops for local products and delicacies from the region like sweet coffee buns, ham, chicharon, greaseless peanuts and many others.

Day 2: After breakfast, go on a DAHILAYAN + KAMPO JUAN + MONASTERY of the TRANSFIGURATION TOUR with lunch and dinner. Overnight in Cagayan de Oro. (B, L, D)

Plus! you get to go to the heart of the highland paradise passing through vast and rich agricultural lands, such as the DEL MONTE PINEAPPLE PLANTATION at the foot of MT. KITANGLAD range and zigzagging along Sayre Hiway to view the marvelous MANGIMA CANYONS, then, on to visit the last project of the renowned, late National Artist for Architecture, Leandro Locsin—the famous Benedictine Monk’s MONASTERY of the TRANSFIGURATION.   Say a prayer for your most fervent wish and plant a kiss on the Black Madonna. Cap your trip with shopping for Benedictine medals, MONK’S BLEND coffee, fruits and other local products.

Day 3: White-Water Rafting Adventure

Day 4: Departure After breakfast, rest of the time is free at leisure before transfer to airport. (B)
