Depart Manila in the morning for Cagayan de Oro. Arrive Laguindingan airport. Transfer to hotel for check-in. Lunch-stop may be made along the way to hotel (lunch on individual account). Drop off at hotel or proceed to do city tour.

The City of Golden Friendship and one of the country’s most competitive cities is the center of education and trade in a region comprised by the provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte. It is a choice destination for national conventions, adventure activities and golf tournaments. This tour gives you an overview of the region’s rich and colorful cultural and historical heritage with a visit to 1 museum: a folklore museum or the Museum of Three Cultures or an alternative museum (subject to museum schedule, the San Agustin Cathedral which houses beautifully crafted stained glass windows dating back to 1800s and McArthur’s Memorial. You will also have a glimpse into the city’s fast changing urban landscape as you go around its old commercial center, Plaza Divisoria, the new Uptown Cagayan and the bustling area around Limketkai

commercial complex. The tour’s highlight is a visit to the Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village, a 7.2 hectare botanical garden overlooking Macajalar Bay where one may witness some Higaonon tribe members perform their native dances or make their crafts. Cap your tour with a visit to a local market, Cogon, or a pasalubong center and bring home for yourself and friends some colorful malong, wood crafts or old time favorites like Camiguin’s pastel, Iligan’s greaseless peanuts, Bukidnon’s Monk’s Blend coffee, Cagayan de Oro’s pine ham, chicharon, banana chips, cashew nuts, dried fish and more. Drop off and check-in at Cagayan de Oro hotel.

Cool and green–a highland paradise! See the heart of the country’s vast and rich agricultural basket. Drive through Del Monte Pineapple Plantation at the foot of Mt. Kitanglad range and zigzag along Sayre Hiway to view the marvelous Mangima Canyons and have a foto with the Dancing Ladies. Drive all the way to the province’s capital, Malaybalay, where Kaamulan Festival–a gathering of various indigenous tribes- is held usually every first Saturday of March. See the design of the late National Artist Arch. Leandro Locsin–the Benedictine Monk’s Monastery of the Transfiguration. Say a prayer for your most fervent wish and plant a kiss on the La Moreneta or the Black Madonna located behind the altar. Bring home for pasalubong some local products, like the famous Monk’s Blend, from coffee proudly grown by Bukidnon farmers.

This tour will also bring you to 2 adventure parks—the Dahilayan Adventure Park and Kampo Juan in Manolo Fortich. Both parks offer adrenaline-pumping activities in a cool, scenic environment. Activities at the parks include one of the country’s longest zipline, forest luge, the all-terrain vehicle (ATV), anicycle, hanging bridge and more. All activities are on individual account.
